Have you heard of that starry night
so very long ago?
Did anyone tell you, maybe you
already know . . .
The night that many traveled
across miles of land,
Taking a journey without knowing
the whole plan . . .
They traveled far and wide,
against all odds; against the tide.
They traveled with much faith,
endurance and will;
The venture was so great,
we speak of it still.
These people, they came bearing
gifts and not knowing why,
But they knew they must for they
hear an angel cry . . .
"Follow the north star
for it will lead the way.
Travel as fast as you can.
Hurry I say!!"
"For the Savior is born,
He has come to bless you all.
He will lead you to salvation,
and forgive you when you fall"
"He is the great King;
the almighty you have heard of.
He is born of Mary and Joseph,
but He was sent from above."
Now each year we celebrate
the miraculous event;
the birth of Christ,
a man Heaven sent.
Remember the gift
sent to all mankind.
Give of yourself.
