Step inside this photo with me,
As we go beyond the gates to enjoy the nightly
air while we sit beneath the tree;
And listen to the sounds of the flowing stream,
As we view its beauty under the stars and the
shimmering moonlight as if we're inmagining
it's all in a dream.
Step inside this photo with me,
And travel to places you imagined it would be;
Of beautiful sunsets, sounds of the ocean and
feel upon your skin the tropical breeze,
As you leave the thoughts of winter behind
with the snow and cold freeze.
Step inside this photo with me,
Remember when you met your best friend to be?
Such thoughts brings a smile upon your face,
Of the things you did together that made fond
memories as you shared your heart during your
life's pace.
Step inside this photo with me,
Taken in the late sixty's of my husband and me.
Him in his sailor uniform and me in my
favorite mini skirt,
And here's another of him playing softball
and sliding into the dirt.
Hard to believe it was us back then,
For look at us now . . . as our bodies
don't look that fit and trim!
Step inside this photo with me,
And help blow out the candles as I introduce
my family for you to see;
With two daughters and two sons as we had
no others on the way,
Wearing their party hats and making wishes
as they celebrate their birthdays.
Step inside this photo with me,
As time has gone by . . . for we grew
with age as you can see;
For here are our precious grand-children as my
"little dearhearts" are gathered around me,
Need I say, "What a blessing they are to thee."
Step inside this photo with me,
As we embrace and share our thoughts
that do not flee;
May I take a picture of us together to add
to the treasures of many others?
For some day . . . someone else will step inside
this photo to see,
A special memory of . . .YOU and ME.
