Behold, I stand at the door, and knock;
if any man hears my voice and opens the door,
I will come in to him.

I was the first to ever lay
eyes on your face,
I was the first to teach you
your place;
I was the first to ever enter
your heart,
But soon after, the world
took us apart.
I have called out to you
time and time again,
Trying to let you know
I am your one true friend.
You have passed so many times
through loves door,
Never realizing my love
was the one for sure.
I will be the last one to ever lay
eyes on your face,
I will be the last one to give
you your place;
I will be the last one you
welcome into your heart,
And nothing will ever again
keep us apart.
