Spooks and goblins in a variety of sizes,
Some uglies and cuties worth
giving special prizes;
As they ring many door bells to yell
Trick or Treat!
I hear their voices as they are coming near,
Should I wear a mask or would it
cause them to fear?
Sure don't want to scare them as they
are saying Trick or Treat!
Big ones, little ones and carried babies too,
I'm so tempted to jump out
and say a loud BOO!
I chuckle as I think they wouldn't laugh
at this kind of Trick or Treat!
Each carrying bags or little pumpkin buckets,
I even see some with over stuffed pockets;
As they show one another what they got
for Trick or Treat.
They're getting a little closer as I
hear their running feet,
I just had a deja vu of when my kids
used to go Trick or Treat.
Hear the little giggles and their ooh's and ah's,
For now they see me at my door
as the good fairy from Wizard of OZ.
Each received their goodies as I chatted
with each one and sent along some wishes
for a safe and fun night of Trick or Treat!
